On April 29, The Moving Company at IUPUI presents “Dear Diary”. The evening celebrates moments in our lives that make each day stand out.
The Moving Company at IUPUI's purpose is to give a performing outlet for IUPUI students while also fulfilling credits needed for the IUPUI dance minor. The Moving Company hopes to expand awareness and education of the arts throughout IUPUI and the Indianapolis area. The company is open to all styles of dance including jazz, modern, ballet, and tap.
For "Dear Diary," Director Paige Prill Craigie has choreographed a stylized tango to an excerpt of Arturo Marquez’s Danzon #2. Adrienne Jackson of Create Freedom Arts Project and David Lovett will also have pieces showcased by the IUPUI dancers along with dances chosen from the 17th Annual Student Choreography Show. The show will also feature special performances by the J2 dancers from Martinsville, IN & Dance Dynamics of Lafayette, IN.
This marks MoCo’s first performance at The Toby Theater at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The $10 general admission tickets can be purchased at the door or online ticketing is available at https://www.tututix.com/movingco/
